Philosophies

Startups must be agile and adaptable. To reduce costs and expedite product development, I streamline processes, including design, coding, and manufacturing, to create functional products that quickly connect startups to their customers.

Agency is effective but expensive and slow

R/GA, a top design agency, charges at least $100k for a conceptual design, with prices much higher for a finished product. Months later, you'll receive a beautiful slide show containing UI designs and a branding guide. Developing the product takes several more months, if not a year. For startups, the financial burden of just one product iteration with an agency is generally prohibitive.

Design: simple and straight forward for market-fit

I design simple and reusable components to expedite development, whether for prototypes or market-ready products. Regular communication and multiple iterations enable us to find the right market fit, fostering fundraising and sustainable revenue growth.

Coding: architecture for growth without sacrificing efficiency

My technology stack includes React Native, Node, and AWS. This stack has pre-built libraries for GPS, Bluetooth, and hardware support, and is used by many multi-million dollar companies. While Kotlin + Swift may be more intricate, it often doubles the development time. We will consider "close to hardware" stacks if there's a need to maximize performance (e.g. edge computing). To reduce bugs and ease modifications, I write minimal code and use dynamic components to render static data. For instance, updating a single file can modify styles across the entire app.
